Early Life

Born in Memphis and raised in Arlington, Jordan D Hinders grew up with an authentic Tennessee experience. From spending childhood summers in the outskirts of Manchester to embracing the culture of the big city of Memphis, he has always had a connection with all the people he encountered. A product of the public school system, Jordan shows everyone that success does not require a private education but a willingness to be exceptional. While pursuing a Bachelor's of Arts in Political Science at The University of Mississippi, Jordan studied under multiple research scientists in both the domestic and international fields. 

Work Experience 

Jordan D Hinders used his skill, knowledge, and insight to serve our county and community. Serving 6.5 years in the U.S. Army as an Engineer, he served as a member of the Command Staff in his Battalion. After finishing his service in the Army, Jordan then continued to serve our community as a law enforcement officer in the Memphis-Shelby County area. Jordan also involved himself in local campaigns as well as policy advocacy on both the local and state levels. 

Policy

Jordan D Hinders believes in a return of power to the people, a true democratic society that is free and fair to all. Jordan’s policies include, but are not limited to the following: A more direct approach when attempting to quell the addiction and overdose crisis that many Tennesseeans are faced with. The codification of blanket equality tenants, so that all people will have the right to be treated with dignity and respect. A reworking of criminal justice to criminal reform, working to reasimulate the “criminal” to once again a productive citizen. A new federal tax code where everyone pays their fair share, and the middle to lower class no longer have to bear the burden of subsidizing the nation. An end to corporate bailouts, after all, why should a business be given reprieve for poor financial decisions while the average citizen is forced to deal with them?

The Future 

Most importantly, Jordan D. Hinders believes that no single side has all the answers and seeks the best outcome for the citizens he represents. Every person will have a seat at the table regardless of political affiliation, race, religion, or any other label we can put on a person. It’s been high time since we got back to the basics of a government FOR the people, BY the people, and OF the people.
